The Road Home album release

The Road Home
Engineered, produced, and mixed by Eliza Blue with help from Ben Durrant,
Darren Jackson (Kid Dakota, The Hopefuls) & songwriter John Elliott,
this album showcases her impressive skills as an instrumentalist, as
well as her deeply affecting vocals and songwriting. Nearly all of the
many lush layers of this album were recorded in Eliza's attic on one
microphone between February and August of 2009. The result is an extraordinarily
intimate journey marked by loss, longing, and redemption.

Her first full length release, the album
was recorded with the help of Ben Durrant (Andrew Bird, Dosh). "'Screen
Doors & Back Doors" is a delicate, lyrically mature delving
into thoughtful acoustic songwriting … Honest and heartfelt,
Blue's album is a lovely offering from one of the Cities' most promising
up-and-coming folk singers. |
